- 1960 — Transmarine Corporation in Chesterland, Ohio founded which developed into Ardac the international manufacturer and supplier of note and bill acceptors
- 1967 — Coin Controls established in Oldham near Manchester in the Northwest of England, producing coin mechanisms and coin hoppers at King Mill
- 1968 — Introduction of the successful Standard Payout unit, reaching 2500 per day at peak
- 1969 — Introduction of the Standard Hopper and Series 1 coin mechanism
- 1977 — Introduction of Series 20 coin mechanism for UK Post Office stamp machines
- 1979 — Introduction of the Standard Door for amusement machines
- 1980 — Branches opened in Hamburg, Germany and Chicago, USA
- 1982 — Introduction of Coin Controls first electronic coin acceptor, E15
- 1982 — Coin Controls moves to Delta Mill in Oldham, the current Money Controls HQ
- 1982 — Coin Controls awarded The Queen’s Award for Export
- 1983 — Introduction of the Universal Hopper, the foundation product that established the worldwide change-giving industry
- 1983 — Coin Controls awarded The Queen’s Award for Export for the second successive year
- 1984 — Coin Controls received the Design Council Award for the Universal Hopper
- 1986 — Introduction of the 5” Sentinel coin acceptor
- 1987 — Branch opened in Barcelona, Spain
- 1990 — Introduction of the Compact Hopper
- 1993 — Introduction of the C120 coin acceptor and Compact Payout unit
- 1995 — Introduction of the DBA (Dollar Bill Acceptor) & Ardac WACS (World Acceptor Cassette System) obtaining a substantial share of the jukebox & slot machine markets respectively
- 1996 — Introduction of the C400 series 5” coin acceptor
- 1997 — Branches opened in Johannesburg, South Africa and Sydney, Australia
- 1998 — Coin Controls acquires Ardac, the world wide note acceptance specialists based in the USA, giving the combined group the broadest range of products for the secure automated money transaction market
- 1998 — Company name changed to ’Money Controls’ reflecting the combination of Ardac and Coin Controls and the expertise in money processing peripherals
- 1998 — Introduction of ccTalk, the open-standard serial communication protocol for the money processing industry
- 1998 — ccTalk obtains BACTA approval
- 1998 — Introduction of the Vortex coin acceptor and sorter for the vending machine market, winning the European Innovation Award at the D.A. Expo in France
- 1999 — Office opened in Tokyo, Japan
- 2000 — Introduced the world-beating, high security SR Series coin acceptor range
- 2000 — Money Controls acquired by Coinco, the leading supplier of coin and bill products for the vending industry
- 2001 — Office opened in Porto Alegre, Brazil
- 2001 — Launch of Condor, the leading Gaming Coin Acceptor, Gamesman, the high performance casino hopper, PayCheck, the high security thermal printer for coinless and multi payout media applications
- 2001 — Launch of MC2600 the low cost, high performance bill acceptor for the US Amusement market.
- 2002 — Launch of Lumina the international high performance low cost note acceptor
- 2002 — Introduction of the SR5R the first truly remote 5” serial coin acceptor
